HEALTH & SAFETY
The Judge Memorial Sports Medicine Team provides high-quality healthcare to all student-athletes. The University of Utah-based team includes a sports medicine physician, orthopedic surgeon, orthopedic fellow, director of sports medicine, two certified athletic trainers, and athletic training students.
The health and safety of our student-athletes is our main concern. Our responsibilities encompass the prevention, examination, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of emergent, acute or chronic injuries and medical conditions.
SPORTS MEDICINE PROGRAM
Judge offers a Sports Medicine Program includes three years of medical education classes:
Sports Medicine I: an introduction to sports medicine and students achieve the Red Cross Emergency Response Certificate.
Sports Medicine II: a continuation of athletic training topics and development of a medical research capstone project.
Sports Medicine III: a national Outdoor Emergency Care class where students can earn OEC Certification.
