APPLICATIONS

Judge Memorial is a private, selective high school. Prospective students are required to submit a full application complete with all necessary documents in order to be considered for admission. Families are not able to automatically enroll a student similar to the process at other public and charter schools in Utah. Applications are reviewed based on a student’s previous academic performance and personal fit in accordance with the mission of Judge Memorial and the Catholic Diocese of Salt Lake City.

TRANSFER ADMISSIONS

Applications for the current school year for students currently in grades 9, 10 and 11 are considered on a rolling basis.

As applications are received, candidates will be contacted to schedule an in-person/Zoom interview. Admissions notifications will be sent within a week of interviews. Students will then meet with their assigned school counselor to discuss transfer credits and course selection.

Judge Memorial does not typically accept senior transfer applicants. Please contact us to further discuss before submitting an application.

FRESHMAN PLACEMENT

Judge Memorial provides placement assessments for incoming freshmen in math, science, English writing, and Spanish language (optional). Based on our admissions timeline, placement takes place after a student has been accepted.

Placement has no bearing on a student's admission to Judge Memorial.

Our assessments, designed specifically by Judge faculty, are one way — in addition to teacher and family input — we can best place students into appropriate freshman courses. With this in mind, Judge Memorial does not provide any study guides or advise any supplemental preparation for placement. We recommend students and families focus on their eighth grade studies and come to placement prepared to do their best.

CENTENNIAL SCHOLARSHIP FOR FRESHMEN

Did you know that incoming freshman can apply for our Centennial Scholarship? It’s awarded annually to four incoming freshman students. Each award is valued at $20,000 total. Applications are due each January.
