Mission and Goals:

The JM Learning Commons program is designed to support the mission of Judge Memorial Catholic School and to provide students, teachers, and staff with access to current, adequate, and appropriate information resources and to ensure that they are effective users of information. Our vision is to provide an innovative, learning-centered environment that maximizes individual and group teaching and learning by integrating academic support services, resources, technology, and information literacy instruction to promote collaboration and academic excellence.

Our Learning Commons/Media Center provides curriculum support and research assistance, and is a precious resource for our entire community. The Learning Commons staff work to ensure that students are effective users of ideas and information, and that all members of our community have access to a wide variety of literary and scholarly materials in a variety of formats. Promoting reading and research, the staff provide educational resources for students and staff.

Learning Commons Helpful Hints
  1. Ask for help.
  2. Respect the rights of other Learning Commons patrons to study and learn in a quiet environment.
  3. The Judge Memorial Online Acceptable Use Policy is applicable in the library.
  4. No food or drink allowed in the Learning Commons. No drinks allowed in computer area.
  5. Speak quietly.
  6. No voice use on cell phones.
