Becoming a Host Family
Thank you for your interest in our Cultural Exchange Program and in becoming a host family for our students. Our homestay program enables high school-aged students from around the world the opportunity to live with an American host family and learn firsthand about the American way of life. The international students live as a member of your family, attending Judge Memorial Catholic High School for one academic school year or one semester.
Hosting has a rich heritage in the United States, from before the Fulbright-Hays act of 1961 through Ronald Reagan's Presidential Initiative, and on through present day. In that same spirit, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton recorded a special video discussing the need for hosting and the benefits it brings the families, the United States, and the entire world:

Family with or without children, as well as responsible single adults can become a host family. All that is required of our hosting families is that they can provide a warm and loving environment for our students and are interested in encouraging the student to become an active member of their family and school.
