Kay Bush has been a counselor for Judge Memorial since 2017. In addition to counseling and providing academic coaching for students, she advises Student Council.
Ms. Bush is inspired by life stories of perseverance, resilience, and learning. She is attentive to the conversations she has with her students and feels fortunate that her job is to listen to them. If she were not counseling young people she would be writing books to inspire them.
The most character-building moment in high school for Ms. Bush came when, "I figured out I could take charge of my life." She lives her life by the motto, "Be the change you wish to see in the world."
In her free time she is most comfortable outside or spending time with family and friends. She enjoys hiking, yoga, stand-up-paddleboarding, windsurfing, biking, skiing, and going to the beach.
If she could give one piece of advice to students, it would be, "What action can you take today?"
