Fine Arts, Visual Arts

Education:
  • B.F.A., University of Utah
  • A.A. in Graphic Design, Salt Lake Community College

An alumnus of Judge Memorial’s class of 1967, Tom Bettin has been working for Judge Memorial since 1987. For over 30 years Mr. Bettin has been teaching classes in fine arts and he was also a former basketball coach. He is the instructor for Ceramics, Drawing, Advanced Drawing, and AP Studio Art.

In addition to being an educator of visual art for Judge Memorial, Mr. Bettin is a ceramist, graphic designer, and painter. His professional works can be found on display at Phillips Gallery in Salt Lake. Although he has a love of sports and an interest in fly fishing, when Mr. Bettin is not teaching you will most likely find him hard at work in his studio painting or print-making.

When asked what is the favorite part of teaching, Mr. Bettin responded, "The interaction with students and watching their success".
