Cheer Tryouts for 2018-2019

 

Coached by Cameron Larsen, the Bulldog Cheer Squad is the heart and soul of Judge Memorial pride and tradition. This talented group of students, whether on the field, court, or in the classroom, are ready for another terrific year! We've Got Spirit!
 
Cheer Clinics and Tryouts for 2018-2019 
Cheer Tryout Clinics: Tuesday, April 17 AND Wednesday, 18 from 5-7:30 p.m.
Cheer Tryouts: Thursday, April 19 from 5-7. Those who are selected for Cheer will stay for uniform fitting from 7:30-8 p.m.
Open to all students who will be in grades 9-12 at Judge Memorial for the 2018-2019 school year. Those interested should plan on attending all three dates. 
 

ELIGIBILITY: In order to tryout for the Judge Memorial Cheerleading Squad, you must meet the following requirements:

• Have at least a 2.5 GPA on the term before tryouts or 2.5 cumulative GPA
• Have no F’s or I’s on the term before tryouts academic grade report.

TRYOUT FORMS -  Please refer to the 2018 Cheer Tryout Packet in the attachment below and complete in advance of the tryout clinics. Please read all of the information contained in the packet. Information contained in the packet will need to be filled out and completed in advance. 

The first page in the Cheer Tryout Packet is the Judge Memorial Tryout Application. It must be filled out and signed by the candidate and parents and turned in the first day of clinics, April 17.

The four pages after the application are the TEACHER EVALUATION FORMS. Select four of your academic teachers to complete these forms. Please have teachers fill out the forms and seal them in an envelope. Bring all four sealed envelopes to the first day of clinics, April 17.

We must have all of these forms in order for you to try out.

About Cheer Coach Cameron Larsen:

Cameron Larsen  is a 4-time Power Tumbling and Trampoline National Champion. In 2005 he was a member of the USA World Team and placed 10th at the World Championships. His tumbling career switched to cheerleading where he cheered at Weber State University and won the NCA College National Championship in 2009. His cheer career continued as a cheerleader and captain at BYU from 2012-2015. He began to work for UCA in 2007 and worked as summer camp staff and head instructor. In 2013 he became a Varsity Spirit State Director for both UCA and NCA overseeing Utah and Idaho. He is also a V!ROC Director of Choreography. His choreography has won multiple state championship titles across the country and over 5 national championship titles. Cameron has a passion for cheerleading and working with youth to develop skills that will not only enhance their cheerleading abilities, but aide them to become successful in every aspect of their life.
