Judge alumna participates in Papal Mass in Washington, D.C.

CaiLi Pleshe, a member of the Judge Memorial Catholic High School Class of 2014 and now a student at Catholic University of America, will have the experience of a lifetime when she participates in the Celebration of the Holy Eucharist Canonization Mass of Blessed Junípero Serra with His Holiness Pope Francis. Scheduled for Wednesday, September 23, 2015, at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C., Mass time is 4:30 p.m. EST.

“I was selected because I have helped out with masses before,” said CaiLi. “I have been part of the preparation for the visit, including stuffing 30,000 bags for guests and organizing volunteer forms that are used as tickets for the event. It has been very hectic and very exciting. A lot is going on!”

CaiLi, who was a peer minister at Judge, works with Catholic University’s campus ministry team. During the Mass, she will hold an umbrella for a deacon while Communion is being served. Communion stations will be marked by gold and white umbrellas throughout the assembly.

CaiLi previously attended The Madeleine Choir School.
