List of School Rules

This is intended as a basic guide for the Judge Memorial student. No list of rules can cover every situation, and the school reserves the right to update policies. Policy changes will be published on the Judge Memorial Catholic High School Web site.

Jurisdiction

Where applicable, rules apply not only during the school day and on school grounds, but also during co-curricular or other school-related activities, or any time on or off-campus, including summer vacation, or when the student is in uniform or representing Judge Memorial (for example, when riding the bus to school, traveling to a game or competition, driving or walking through the neighborhood, etc.).

I. THE JUDGE STUDENT IS RESPECTFUL OF SELF AND OTHERS. Violations include, but are not limited to...

A. Alcohol, tobacco or drug use, possession, or distribution.

B. Dishonesty.

C. Endangering the safety of self or others.

D. Excessive public displays of affection.

E. Fighting or unwanted physical contact.

F. Inappropriate language or gestures.

G. Racist, sexist, or other abusive language.

H. Sexual harassment, hazing, or bullying.

I. Internet crimes.

J. Weapons or threats of violence.

K. Insubordination.

II. THE JUDGE STUDENT IS RESPECTFUL OF THE LEARNING PROCESS.

Violations include, but are not limited to…

L. Absence from a class, assembly, assigned study time or school without excuse.

M. Excessive Absences.

N. Academic Integrity (Cheating).

O. Disruptive or inattentive behavior in class, assemblies, or anywhere in the school.

P. Prohibited items.

Q. Completing consequences.

R. Tardiness for school, class, assembly, or assigned study time.

S. Uniform or grooming code violations.

III. THE JUDGE STUDENT IS RESPECTFUL OF THE SCHOOL AND THE LARGER ENVIRONMENT.

Violations include, but are not limited to…

T. Being in off-limits areas of the campus.

U. Eating or drinking outside the cafeteria; chewing gum anywhere on campus.

V. Vandalism.

W. Leaving campus during the school day without written release from the Deans’ Office.

X. Littering or wasting resources.

Y. Theft.

Z. Traffic or parking violations on school grounds or in the neighborhood.
