N. Academic Integrity (Cheating)

Students are to maintain academic integrity at all times. Cheating, or any form of academic dishonesty, is a serious violation of the Code of Conduct. Cheating includes but is not limited to copying homework assignments, copying test or quiz answers, using “crib” notes during a test, or plagiarizing (presenting another person’s ideas or words as one’s own, including work taken from the Internet). Students found cheating will be reported to the Dean's Office and parents will be notified. The student will receive a zero on the assignment. Consequences will increase for repeated or serious instances of cheating, which may include a contract, suspension, or dismissal.
