TICKETS FOR BACCALAUREATE AND COMMENCEMENT
Every
graduate will receive 2 tickets to Baccalaureate (Thursday nightÕs Mass in the
Cathedral), and 10 tickets to Commencement (Sunday afternoonÕs ceremony in
Abravanel Hall). Tickets will
be given to graduates along with their caps and gowns on Monday, May 19. Baccalaureate is a solemn and
intimate liturgy intended for graduates and their parents. There is not enough seating for
siblings and extended family members. Graduates who have more than two parents or guardians
may request an additional Baccalaureate ticket, which does not guarantee a seat
but only admission for standing room, by following the procedure outlined
below. Commencement is held in a much larger setting, so graduates may request
six or more additional tickets.
TO REQUEST
ADDITIONAL TICKETS, the graduate or his or her parent or guardian should send
an email to graduation@judgememorial.com, beginning on March 14 (the email
address will not be open until that date). This email must include:
Requesters
will receive an auto-reply stating that their tickets have been reserved (one
for Baccalaureate or up to six for Commencement). Requests will be honored on a first-come, first-served basis
as long as extra tickets are available.
If all
extra tickets have been reserved, requesters will receive notice that their
request has not been honored, but has been placed on a waiting list. If extra tickets to either ceremony are
still available after May 12, then requests BEYOND the 1 extra Baccalaureate or
6 for Commencement will be considered, and requesters will be notified by
email. You donÕt need to send a
second email in May; If you requested more than one Baccalaureate or six
Commencement tickets in your original email, those beyond the limit will be
placed on a waiting list to be reviewed after May 12. Extra tickets will be given along with the automatic number
of tickets (2 Baccalaureate, 10 Commencement) to the graduate at the Monday,
May 19 practice.
