It is our great pleasure to introduce Judge Memorial Catholic High School P.U.P.S., Partners United in Promoting Spirit. We say introduce when what we should really say is re-introduce. PUPS, originally established at Judge more than 20 years ago, is the official, all-inclusive booster organization for Judge Memorial Catholic High School.
So PUPS is not a new organization, but it is one that has evolved over the years to the current configuration. PUPS formalizes what has already been happening here at Judge, and more adequately acknowledges the support of so many people – parents, alumni, faculty, staff, administration, friends, and supporters, all working together for our remarkable Judge students. PUPS encompasses the former Judge Parent Association (JPA), individual booster clubs for activities and athletics, parent support groups for events and student functions, and other supporters who contribute to student life at Judge.
PUPS mission is simple: to support the Judge Memorial students with enthusiasm and pride. PUPS will be administered by an Executive Board consisting of the Director of Activities; Director of Athletics; Director of Student Services; Athletic/Activity Representatives from a variety of sports and activities; parent representatives, PUPS treasurer, and PUPS volunteer coordinator.
All parents/guardians with students enrolled at Judge Memorial are automatically members of the PUPS. Each Judge Memorial family can choose 15 hours of service for the school each year or donate $150 in lieu of service. PUPS prefers that you donate your time and expertise in an area or areas of your choosing. Parents are asked to track and report service hours for PUPS using our online volunteer tracker on the Judge Memorial Web site. The brochure lists of number of volunteer opportunities, along with space to suggest your own. Parents are asked to indicate the area(s) of interest, sign and return the form by August 28, 2011.
Through the years, our students have benefitted from the unparalleled support of the Judge community. With your help, we can continue to encourage our students to reach for the stars in all their endeavors – academics, activities, athletics, faith, and service.
All for Judge Pride!
- Bernadette Bell, Director of Student Services
- Mattie Mulick, Director of Activities
- Dan Quinn, Director of Athletics
- Michelle Krump, PUPS Volunteer Coordinator
