Biometric Opportunity through PEAK Academy
The Judge Memorial Sports Medicine program has added some new approaches to preventative health care at Judge this year. The Biometric Screening Results is a program run by PEAK Academy at the University of Utah is one of those programs. The program will test BMI, Blood Pressure, Total Cholesterol, give you TC/HDL levels and LDL levels, glucose. Each participant will be given a card to visit the University lab at a time good for them to use the "POD," described as a big egg-like structure. This is the most current method to test body composition/lean body mass. It is open to all students of Judge, targeting the athletes.
The cost is $35.00 for Judge athletes and family. This is a reduced cost specially designed to help Judge athletes build a better training program.
The time for the first testing is next Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (September 7, 8 and 9) in the Judge Gym 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. Attendees are asked to try to fast a bit before the test.
Sign up sheets are available on the Trainer's room office door. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. George Angelo (gangelo@judgememorial.com).
