Aug 20: New Student Orientation

Mark your calendar now for our New Student and Frosh Orientation: Friday, August 20, 2010, beginning promptly at 8 a.m. Registration is in the foyer of the Auditorium.

Among other events scheduled are tours of the campus; meetings with teachers, counselors and administrators; run-through of daily schedules; and a number of informative sessions in small and large groups. Lunch will be provided; dismissal will be at approximately 2:30 p.m.

Students should report in uniform. We do, however, recommend comfortable shoes for the day (athletic shoes, no sandals or flip flops please).

Keep in mind that it may be warm, so consider wearing the uniform shorts in place of long pants.

This is an orientation for students only. Parents are invited to a New Parent Orientation coordinated by the Judge Parent Association also on August 20 beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the cafeteria. As parking in the Judge lots directly south and west of the school will be restricted, parents are advised that street parking will be available and your best option.

As you are planning your day, remember that the home opener for the varsity football team is August 20, with a kick-off set for 7 p.m. Wear JudgePride!

Parking Reminders:

  • Permit zones surrounding the school will revert to free/exempt parking after 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
  • As we are an urban campus located in a residential neighborhood, we thank you for being respectful of neighborhood driveways, fire hydrants, bus zones and no parking zones. Although parking is exempt in permitted areas, city parking regulations remain in effect.
  • The parking lots to the west and south of our buildings are reserved for teachers and staff throughout the day and afternoon, and for permitted parking only for the evening, and should not be used by parents/guardians. Thank you for your cooperation.
