Celebrating Judge Memorial Commencement 2010
Judge Memorial Catholic High School conferred diplomas on the 183 members of the Class of 2010 on Sunday, May 30. Prior to the Commencement Ceremony, held at 11 a.m. at Abravanel Hall, the Judge community gathered to celebrate the Baccalaureate Mass. Baccalaureate was held on Thursday, May 27, at 6:50 p.m., at The Cathedral of the Madeleine.
The annual Baccalaureate Mass, a beautiful liturgical ceremony, was celebrated by Rev. Monsignor J. Terrence Fitzgerald, Vicar General of the Diocese of Salt Lake City and a Judge alumnus, and con-celebrated by numerous diocesan priests and deacons. Reverend Martin Diaz, pastor of Saint Therese of the Child Jesus Parish, offered a meaningful and timely homily to the Class of 2010. Faculty and administrators participated in the academic procession; students offered readings and prayers; and a number of prestigious awards were presented, including the cherished Christ the King Awards, presented to Maximilian Lamb and Roselyn Neville.
Sister Catherine Kamphaus, Superintendent of Schools for the Catholic Diocese of Salt Lake City, and Rick Bartman, Principal of Judge Memorial conferred diplomas at the Commencement ceremony. Commencement highlights included congratulatory remarks from The Most Reverend John C. Wester, remarks from Rick Bartman, principal; Max Lamb, co-valedictorian; Parker Mildenhall, co-valedictorian; and an invocation by Sister Genevra Rolf, Associate Superintendent of Schools.

Academic Year Snapshot 2009-2010
- The class of 2010 boasts an overall gpa of 3.52.
- 48% of this class graduates with honors.
- As a class, these students have been accepted by over 220 colleges.
- Making the decision that is best for them as individuals, members of this class will attend 57 different colleges in 27 states, with one traveling to Switzerland and another to Canada.
- Three have accepted appointments to military academies – two to the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis and one to the United States Military Academy in West Point.
- Our college-bound seniors have been awarded a total of over 14 million dollars in scholarships and renewable grants.
- Seven National Merit Finalists
- Two All-American student-athletes
- Five Academic All-State student-athletes
- Bulldog Press receives first place honors from Utah Press Association
- Judge senior earns second place in Utah's "Poetry Out Loud" competition
- Literary Magazine earns national recognition

- Seven drama students honored with straight superiors at state competition

- Boys’ Soccer claims 3A state championship
- Girls’ Swimming captures seventh 3A state title in eight years
- Three state runners-up finishes: girls’ tennis, boys’ golf and boys’ basketball
- Nine Region XI Sports Championships: girls' cross country, girls' tennis, boys' track and field, boys' swimming, girls' swimming, boys' basketball, boys' soccer, girls' golf and boys' golf
- Seven individual state championships in athletics
- Six individual state runners-up finishes in athletics
- Twenty-five individual Region XI champions in athletics
- Six student-athletes earn “Prep of the Week” honors by local newspapers
- Girls’ Basketball wins Nike Tournament of Champions divisional championship
- Over 50 All-State scholar-athletes named to first team, second team, and honorable mention
- McDonald's All-American nominee
- Students completed international service projects in Africa, Asia, British Isles, Europe, South America and the South Pacific
- Students completed service projects and fundraisers locally for more than 150 agencies and organizations, including Catholic Social Services, Haiti Relief and the Guadalupe School
- Twenty-nine students honored with the Presidential Service Award for service in the community
- Three seniors honored for service and volunteerism by the Rotary Club of Salt Lake City Judge named “School of the Year” by the Utah Food Bank

- Senior Farewell Assembly includes reflections by most inspirational teacher, Chris Sloan; remarks by a representative of the senior class, Craig Domeier; musical numbers and readings; and the senior slide show
- Academics and Activities Award Celebration on Monday, May 24, at 7 p.m.
- Baccalaureate Mass on Thursday, May 27, at 6:50 p.m. at The Cathedral of the Madeleine
