Judge Memorial alums currently competing at the collegiate level include: Will Bowers (Colorado College), Megan Bush (Drexel University, crew) Oliver Diamond (Brown University), Erica Eisenman (North Carolina A&T), Sarina Karwande (Chapman University), Garam Kim (New York University) and Maria Schwarz (Linfield College).

The 2011-2012 squad had an outstanding season and we are all proud of them for earning a State Title to cap off the year. The squad claimed the Region 10 championship, qualified 19 swimmers to State competition, and earned their fourth consecutive State title, their ninth State title in 10 years.

Top individual finishers for the girls include Erica Azad (fifth, 100-yd backstroke), Kaley Banyai (fourth, 100-yd IM; fifth, 100-yd butterfly), Marisa Bush (fourth, 50-yd free), Cassandra Cokl (sixth, 500-yd free), Alandra McDowell (fourth, 500-yd free), Emileeann Moran (sixth, 100-yd free), Marcela Vasquez (sixth, 100-yd breaststroke) and Allison Witte (third, 200-yd IM; second, 100-yd butterfly).

The girls’ 200-yd freestyle relay took fourth while the 400-yd freestyle relay team finished in second.

Providing strong senior leadership throughout the season were senior captains Marisa Bush, Cassandra Cokl, Addie Diamond and Lizzie Gibbs. Congratulations to coach Matt Finnigan and to all members of the 2011-2012 girls' swim team on a championship season!

It’s no secret that Judge girl’s swimming is dynamic - but this year’s State Championship provided for quite the exciting performance by the boys' team. The boys' state team, comprised of a meager nine swimmers, was projected to finish tenth, but managed to hold tight to their position in third throughout the entire meet. Perhaps three is the boys lucky number, seeing that they comfortably came in third at the Region Championships as well. Read more »
