Judge Holds National Honor Society Induction
The Judge Memorial Catholic High School chapter of the National Honor Society held its fall 2009 induction ceremony on October 21 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
Under the direction of Peter VanOrden, chapter advisor, the induction was coordinated by the 2009-2010 officers and included an inspirational address by William Trentman , a 1993 Judge Memorial graduate and a faculty member at Juan Diego Catholic High School, and a musical selection played on acoustic guitar by Jacob Garcia ’10. Eric Humphrey ’10 , president of the JMCHS Chapter, provided an introduction to the history and mission of the National Honor Society. Rick Bartman, principal of Judge, made congratulatory remarks following the induction of new members.

Membership in the National Honor Society (NHS) is based on criteria in four areas: scholarship, leadership, service, and character. Students involved in this program can graduate with special recognition for their achievements.
The National Honor Society is an academic honorary society. It is also a service organization for the school that provides ushers, helpers, and hospitality for many school activities.
