Girls Lax Spring 2011 Season Wrap-Up
Judge Girls' Lacrosse entered their second season in 2011 under head coach Chad Staro with a youngster-heavy squad consisting of seven seniors, four juniors, six sophomores, and nine freshmen. Captains Chloe Ropner (senior), Koko Novak (junior) and Sierra Brimhall (senior) led the Bulldogs in their 2011 Utah Division 1 North campaign, assisted by seniors Mary Briggs, Kassy Fenn, Maggie Fey, Courtney Nelson and Campbell Wyasket.
The 2011 campaign saw the Lady Bulldogs finish with a 7-6 record, making the playoffs after a one year hiatus from post-season play.
Koko Novak ‘12 was named a 2011 Utah Chapter Academic All-American in girls’ lacrosse. Koko is one of 17 girls’ lacrosse players from Utah honored, representing Alta (4), Brighton (3), Olympus, Park City, Pleasant Grove, Riverton and Skyline. Following the 2011 girls’ lacrosse team, Koko earned All-State honors, All-Conference honors and, for the second consecutive years, was selected for the Utah/Idaho high school Girl's Lacrosse Team. Koko competed in the national competition over Memorial Day weekend with girls from across the country. The Utah/Idaho featured players selected from Utah and Idaho. Rosters for the national game are limited to 20 players total per team.
Also earning post-season honors was Mary Briggs ‘11, who was named to the Girls Division I All-Conference North, second team.
