Boys' golf at Judge Memorial has had a long, rich tradition with many great players going on to play collegiate golf. Top finishers in UHSAA 4A Region 6 play were Max Butcher, 6th; and Jacob Turner, 9th. Boys' Golf concluded their 2013 Fall season on a beautiful day in October at Ogden Country Club. Qualifying for the UHSAA 4A State Tourney were senior Jacob Turner and sophomore Max Butcher. We thank the entire 2013 fall boys' golf team for their hard work and we look forward to an exciting 2014 season. Until then, continue the great work on the links, Bulldogs!

Judge Memorial golfer receives second Inspirational Award

SALT LAKE CITY — Paul Oliver, a junior at Judge Memorial Catholic High School, received the Inspirational Award in Sports for the second time from the Judge Memorial golf team at its banquet Oct. 27. Oliver also received the award as a freshman.

The mention of the word fall conjures up a wide variety of images in the typical human brain. Common images include pumpkins, leaves, school, and Halloween. One image commonly left off the train of brain thought is golf. Monday, October 7, 2013, sure was a beautiful day at an amazing venue for the first day of the State Tournament for Boys' Golf. The Ogden Country Club Golf Course was playing tough, probably the fastest greens the Bulldogs have encountered this season. Both Jacob Turner and Max Butcher put in a valiant effort with Jacob shooting 82 and Max 86. They finished in the middle of the pack individually and barely missed the cut to be eligible for the final round. Read more »

Boys' Golf: 2013 End of Regular Season Wrap-up!

It's the end of a great golf season for the boys golf team! The Judge Bulldogs held on strong and had a successful fall 2013 season. Each golfer's individual score continued to get lower at each tournament showing great skill and improvement.

The 4A Regional tournament was held on Tuesday at Old Mill and the Varsity Bulldogs stepped on to the first tee with confidence. The team played well with an overall score of 324 finishing 5th out of 8 teams in the region by 14 strokes. Read more »

Results of Boys' Golf third region tourney

On Wednesday, August 28, the boys' golf team had their third Region Tournament at Eaglewood golf course in North Salt Lake for Wood Cross home match. The team played well for the tournament. We finished 4th place (same place as we currently stand overall) with a team score of 325. Read more »

Boys' Golf 2013 Season Preview

Boys' Golf for 2013-2014 is well underway, with matches beginning in early August before the first day of classes. Serving as captains are Chance Pia '14 and Max Butcher '16. These two, along with seniors Jacob Turner, Jake Chandler, and Joey Davis will provide experience and leadership to a young squad as the team moves to 4A competition.

Judge Golfers compete in International Golf Tourney

Tuesday, August 27, 2013, was an exciting tournament at Mountain Dell. The Utah-Japan Golf Exchange Program, a non-profit organization, was the host of the International Invitational.

Twenty-seven Japanese golf students from Nagoya, Japan have been in Utah since August 20, 2013, participating in golf instruction and experiencing Utah hospitality. The families who have been hosting students over the two weeks have had a great experience for all!

On Tuesday, four of our Judge golf team members including one of our girls, welcomed the Japanese students and played a round of 18. Read more »
