Celebrating Catholic Schools Week '12: Tuesday Reflection
The Utah Catholic Schools will celebrate Catholic Schools Week 2012 - Faith.Academics.Service. - the week of January 29-February 5.
Tuesday through Friday morning before prayer, one of our students, representing each grade level, will read a short personal statement on their feelings about attending a Catholic school.
The reflection on Tuesday, January 31, is offered by Elizabeth Goldsmith, Class of 2015:
"Being Jewish and going to a Catholic school has above all taught me about how accepting different cultures can be of each other. At first I thought that going to a Catholic school would make me stand out as being different, but Judge does an excellent job at making everyone feel at home. There are many students that go here that practice religions that are not Catholic or even Christian. Out in the world we might be criticized for our beliefs, but Judge is a place we can always feel safe and not have to worry about what we believe."
The reflection on Tuesday, January 31, is offered by Hannah Brodke, Class of 2012, Student Body President:
"Hear O Israel, the Lord is our God, the Lord is One. Blessed be the name of the glory of His kingdom forever and ever. Amen."
