The music program at Judge is led by Mrs. Ramona Mayer. The school has a full array of musical options – madrigals, chamber orchestra, chorale, concert band, jazz band, jazz quarter and Show Choir. Some of the notable entertainment figures that Judge music students have performed with include Josh Groban and Michael Buble.


Chamber Music Night '12: February 15

Judge Memorial Catholic High School's Music Program presents its annual Chamber Night on Wednesday, February 15, at 7 p.m. in the Music Room. Chamber Night is a recital style performance in an intimate setting. This event is free and open to the public.

Chamber Night provides students the opportunity to perform outside of their usual involvement in class. For instance, a singer may play piano or guitar, as well as show off what he/she does best. Read more »

Judge Singers to perform on the North Pole Express

Judge Memorial Catholic High School Madrigals and Show Choir, under the direction of Mrs. Ramona Mayer, will be signing on the annual Heber Valley Railroad’s North Pole Express on Tuesday, November 29, for the both the 5 p.m. train and 7:30 p.m. train rides to the North Pole to see Santa Claus.

This year marks the Heber Valley Railroad’s 15th year taking families on a magical journey aboard the North Pole Express. Thousands of families have made the North Pole Express an annual tradition and 2011 appears to be no exception; trains are booking up fast. Read more »

Dec 5: Winter Music Concert '11

You are cordially invited to join us for the 2011 Annual Winter Music Concert!

  • The Judge Memorial Catholic High School annual Winter Music Concert will be held on Monday, December 5, 2011, at 7 p.m. in the Judge Auditorium.
  • The performing groups are Concert Band, Jazz Band, Chamber Orchestra, Madrigal Choir, Drum Line and Show Choir.
  • The concert is free, but donations are encouraged and much appreciated.

Oct 5: Fall Music Concert

The Judge Memorial Catholic High School music department will present its Fall Music Concert on Wednesday, October 5, 2011, beginning at 7 p.m. in the Auditorium.

Lead by choir, orchestra and band director Ramona Mayer, the Bulldog Musicians have been practicing diligently the first few weeks of the school year to prepare for this show.

Performing on Wednesday evening are the Show Choir, Madrigal Choir, Jazz Band, Concert Band, Percussion Ensemble and Orchestra. Read more »

Music Department announces end of year awards

Ramona Mayer, director of music at Judge Memorial Catholic High School, is pleased to announce the music department's annual special end-of-year awards for the 2010-2011 school year.

Natalie Warner is the recipient of the Cecilia A. Trentman Award for Outstanding Loyalty and Achievement.

Sierra Brimhall is the recipient of the Thomas Kearns McCarthey Memorial Award for Outstanding Jazz Musician. Read more »

Jazz on the Beach '11!

Jazz on the Beach '11 will be held on Friday, May 20, beginning at 6 p.m. on The Beach.

Jazz Band will perform and we will have an open mic if anyone would like to add to the joy of the evening. Last blast of the year for our music department and our seniors; rootbeer floats to be served!

Judge students excel at State Music Competition

Judge Memorial Catholic High School is pleased to announce that all five students who qualified for State Competition in Music received a Superior or Excellent following the April 30, 2011, competition.

Sophomore Emily Murnin was a double honoree, earning a Superior in Piano Solo and an Excellent in Guitar Solo. Read more »

May 6: Spring Music Concert '11

The Judge Memorial Catholic High School annual Spring Music Concert will be held on Friday, May 6, at 7 p.m. in the Judge Auditorium.

This is the Grand Finale for the 2010-2011 music students. All groups will perform: Chamber Strings, Concert Band, Jazz Band, Madrigal Choir and Show Choir. There will also be special performances from seniors. Selections will include music from all genres; it promises to be an enjoyable evening for all!
