Mock Trial Contact:

The mock trial program allows Judge students to experience the courtroom in an upfront, hands-on role. The mock trials are set up and structured like any typical court, bound by the same rules. The mock trial program assists Judge students in learning the role of each professional— judge, lawyer, witness, etc.—in an educational, judicial environment.
The mock trial team at Judge has been the Utah state champions in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008.

Congratulations to Judge Memorial's Mock Trial team who won their first competition on Saturday, February 27 against Cache Valley Academy 3-0.
Sophomore Elisabeth Barrows and senior Matthew Stark were chosen as “best attorneys” while sophomore Emily Strand was named “best witness” in this round. Though the team is young and less experienced this year, they worked hard and continued Judge's winning tradition with a strong, united and convincing win. This season has been one of transition for the Judge Mock Trial team. Eight of the 14 members of the team are seniors, while the other six are freshmen. Seven of the seniors have been part of Mock Trail all four years at Judge. These seniors have experienced three consecutive State championships (2006, 2007 and 2008). While the team did not continue the state championship streak, they have taught the incoming group of freshmen about what it takes to compete successfully and well.
The team held a celebration party and baby shower recently at the home of Christina Romero. Read more »
