The Drama department at Judge Memorial has produced some of the finest theater in the state of Utah. Over the past few years, students have participated in accomplished performances of plays such as Metamorphoses, Tommy, Dead Man Walking, Les Miserables, The Laramie Project and The Crucible to name a few. Mr. Darin Hathaway is the Judge Memorial drama director.


Judge Memorial presents: "The Beaux' Stratagem"

Judge Memorial Catholic High School's Performing Arts Department presents "The Beaux’ Stratagem," February 23, 24 and 25, at 7 p.m. in the Judge Auditorium, 650 South 1100 East, Salt Lake City.

“The Beaux’ Stratagem” is a classic piece of late Restoration comedy written in 1707 by the British playwright George Farquhar. Thornton Wilder began an adaption in 1939 and never finished it; in the summer of 2004, Wilder's estate asked Ken Ludwig to complete the adaptation. Read more »

2011 Summer Theatre at Judge Memorial!

Judge Memorial offers a summer theatre program for students entering fifth through ninth grade in the fall of 2011. This summer, students create the entire production of Walt Disney’s “Jungle Book” from beginning to the actual stage performance. Class meet in the Judge Auditorium from June 13-24 with performances on June 23 and June 24.

Judge's Lozano to study acting at DePaul University

Ashlyn Lozano, daughter of Jorie Butler, has been accepted in the bachelor of fine arts acting program at DePaul University. DePaul’s acting major is a four-year program designed to prepare students to work on both stage and screen. The program focuses on expanding range of knowledge and expression of performance while providing skills and techniques to improve acting, movement, voice and speech abilities.

Located in Chicago, DePaul was founded in 1898 and was named for St. Vincent de Paul. Read more »
