The award-winning Judge Dance Department is headed by Ms. Jeanette Sawaya, National Dance Teacher of the Year in 2000. There are classes for all levels of dancers, boys and girls, freshmen through seniors. In addition to the work they do every day in the beautiful, historic Weigand Dance studio, the Dance department performs numerous times throughout the year. Major events and performances include the Dance Concert held annually in the spring, the Women's Dance Concert in December, Bulldog Boogie in the fall, and various class concerts. Clinics and Auditions for Spring Dance Concert 2012

Dance Concert 2012 is getting underway! This year's theme is '-ology,' the study of something, as in biology or anthropology.

Choreographer auditions will be held on Monday, November 21. Dance Clinics will be held on Monday, November 28 and Tuesday, November 29. Dance Concert auditions will be held Wednesday, November 30, and Thursday, December 1.

If you are a junior or senior in a dance class and are interested in being in Couples, you must sign up in the Dance Studio before December 9. The first fifteen couples to sign up will be in the dance. Read more »

Bulldog Boogie 2011 - "Broadway Boogie!"

Perhaps one of the biggest events of the year for the dance program and the cheerleading squad, and for area youngsters, is the annual Bulldog Boogie. A long-standing tradition at Judge Memorial, Bulldog Boogie is a halftime extravaganza that features aspiring dancers, five years and up, who come from all over the Salt Lake valley to participate in the mid-game festival down on the field and be part of the Judge Spirit. During this 23rd annual clinic, Judge dancers serve as choreographers and coaches to the next generation of Bulldogs. Read more »

Apr 14, 15, 16: Dance Presents What If ...

Mark your calendars now to attend a performance of the annual spring dance concert. This year Judge Memorial Dance presents: What If ... .

Please join us in the Judge Memorial Auditorium on one of three evenings: April 14, April 15 or April 16.

The dance concert features a large cast of performers. Some of the dance pieces feature as few as six dancers; others have upwards of 20. All classes are represented, from freshmen to seniors. Read more »
