CRISTO Christian Service Program

Christ Revealed In Service To Others

Service is not just another homework assignment that has a deadline but a lifestyle that we want all our of Judge Memorial Catholic High School students to carry with them after they graduate. The mission of the CRISTO Christian Service program at Judge Memorial Catholic High School is to engage our young men and women in practices of service to others. Service to one another is an essential part of being human. Through acts of service we find true compassion and love for one another. When we give our time, energy and whole self to those in need, we discover how fortunate we are. As individuals we must be willing to open our hearts and minds, through efforts either large or small to make the world a better place. To be proactive, self-giving, faithful, compassionate, loving members of our world is to be an example of the living Christ.

September 13, 2010 notice: Beginning in September 2010, Judge Memorial will revamp the Christian Service Fair process in an effort to best suit our students and the volunteer agencies.

Instead of holding just one Christian Service Fair on one day, we will offer individual agencies the opportunity to participate in an ongoing service fair. Non-profit agencies will have the opportunity to be on site during the student lunch hour to present volunteer opportunities to our students. Agencies will contact Amee Garcia (agarcia@judgememorial.com) at least one week prior to the day they wish to recruit volunteers. Ms. Garcia will inform the students throughout the week to take a moment to check out what opportunities are available during their lunch period.

Agencies who have participated in the one-day Christian Service Fair in the past will be informed of the change and provided opportunities to remain active and involved.
