Essential Knowledge and Skills.

Advanced Drawing students will continue to develop their visual language. Students will be introduced to new concepts of drawing and design. Students will start building their portfolios. New techniques and mediums will be introduced. A body of work involving drawing and design principles will be completed at the end of every quarter. Students will be exposed to new mediums such as Conte’, Pastel, Oils, Acrylics and different papers.

Indicators of student learning

• Students will have been introduced to new materials and assignments.

• Students will continue to demonstrate their growth in a visual language through the completion of their work.

• Completion of a body of work by the end of the quarter demonstrating their mastery of design principles.

• A complete and sophisticated body of work for a portfolio at the end of the year.
